Have any Christmas parties or Holiday events coming up?? If you do, and you are like me, you are probably wondering, "How can I style my hair in a way that's different from my every day
nice hair style??" (* I say
nice, meaning that some days my hair is not washed and up in a pony tail- let's be honest here! But there are days when I am able to spend time on my hair, and it looks pretty good. Just nothing too special.)
I got a chance to sit down with 'N Vogue's Creative Director, Kristan Francis, to talk holiday hair.
She suggests giving your hair a romantic half up-do. The best way to go about this, you ask?
Heat up a set of small hot rollers
Wrap 2 inch sections of hair around each one- pinning them close to the scalp
After the rollers cool completely, unravel them
Mist hair with a product such as Redken Forceful Hair Spray
Pull a few inches of hair away from either side of your face
Allow the shorter strands to fall loosely forward
Twist this section into a very loose bun of curls
Pin the loose bun against your scalp
Run your fingers through remaining hair.
That doesn't sound too hard, does it? Here are some celebrity photos of similar styles:
Beautiful and romantic, but not too "done up", dontcha think?? I love it!
Of course, if you don't feel up to doing it yourself, or if you have another style in mind that you feel you can't achieve on your own, call 'N Vogue and let one of our fabulous hair artists help ya out! ((205.824.9920))
